Most people will see improvements after 3 treatments with SkinPen, spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Some people will notice healthier-looking skin after only 1 treatment. Collagen remodelling happens over time: the natural repair process of your skin continues through the course of several weeks after treatment. You may not see the final results for up to 6 months following your last microneedling session.

We recommend a course of 3 treatments spaced around 4 weeks apart. Think of your skin as a canvas, and each microneedling treatment as a brushstroke in your masterpiece of rejuvenation. Just like an artist builds depth and texture layer by layer, the number of treatments you need depends on your unique canvas. Some may describe it as a gentle prickling sensation, but fear not – our experienced Medical Aestheticians will be here to help guide you on your journey.

As the session concludes, your skin will be kissed with a soothing mask, as if wrapping it in a cozy blanket.

Microneedling typically lasts about 30-60 minutes depending on the area being treated.

SkinPen should not be used on individuals who have active skin cancer in the treatment area, open wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area, allergies to stainless steel or anesthetics, hemorrhagic or hemostatic disorders, are pregnant or nursing, or are currently taking drugs containing isotretinoin (such as Accutane).

SkinPen is safe and effective to use on many parts of the body, including the face, neck, and décolleté.

  1. Discontinue the use of topical retinoids (Retinol, Retin A) Vitamin A creams and other topical medications for about 1 week before your microneedling appointment.
  2. Wear sunscreen of at least SPF 30 every day prior to your treatment.
  3. Avoid excessive sun exposure or sunburns.
  4. Postpone your treatment if you have active breakouts or open lesions in the treatment areas.

It’s a minimally invasive procedure with little downtime, especially compared to other procedures. Recovery time is individual and will depend on your unique skin. Most patients will experience a light pinkness or redness in the targeted areas, similar to a mild or moderate sunburn for 1-3 days following the procedure. Approximately 2-3 days post-treatment, you may experience dry or flaking skin in the targeted area, which should resolve quickly. You will start to see an improvement in your skin’s appearance after about a week following treatment.

• For the first 24 hours use the Lift HG. After 24 hours use the Rescue gel. These are provided to you in your microneedling kit.

• For the first 24-48 hours, be sure to use freshly cleaned towels, sheets, pillow cases, and clothes. Wash hands before touching face and avoid wearing makeup.

• For the first 72 hours, avoid any sweaty exercise, hot tubs/sauna, pools, sun exposure.

• Increased bruising can take place if you are taking blood thinning medication.

• No other aesthetic treatments in between consecutive Microneedling sessions.

• You might experience dryness, rough skin, tightness, redness, itching or peeling. Those conditions resolved over time without any further complications.

Their laser machine is great and the aestheticians provide great care and service. The owner and women that work there are very friendly and extremely skilled at their jobs. The office is very modern and clean and I felt very welcomed there.
